SHELIX Cutterhead for POWERMATIC 24" Planer, P225 (Direct Drive)

This SHELIX head features 10 wings of knives with a total of 243 knives for installation in the POWERMATIC 24″ Planer, P225 – Direct Drive.  All Shelix orders include at no charge:  Five replacement KN400 carbide inserts, One  1/4” Drive Handle, One  T25 Torx Plus Bit.

Standard lead time to ship once your order is placed averages 8 to 12 weeks but can be shorter depending on production demand.  For an updated lead time please call us at: (855) 247-4450.

Please Note!  There are more than 10 variations of this head that has been used by Powermatic over the years.   The cost of all variations is the same, but it is CRITICAL that we identify the correct variation for your machine before manufacturing your head.

After completing your order we will provide you UPS labels at *no cost to you* so we can ship your original OEM head directly to our engineers, who will review your head against blueprint specifications to determine the correct type of Shelix for your machine.  Byrd Tool Experts will also ship your original head back to you at no cost.

Byrd Tool Experts does offer head inspection and blue print creation for customers who wish to have this done before placing their order.  In this case the customer is responsible for shipping their current head, and for an inspection fee of $100.
